It is so easy for us to read about it and think, duh, God just rescued you from Egypt and is taking you to the promised land! What more do you want? But the unknown is scary and if you don't have a relationship with God it is easy to get distracted and wish that God was more a genie, than who He is. I am trying to take more time to spend with Him so that I am prepared to go into whatever "promised land" He takes me into. Hopefully I will have learned from how these people responded.
