I agree, we should be joyful in thanksgiving to Our Father for Blessing us with meat.

Might not be good for visitors to this forum to mistake that joy for joking about the death or mistreatment of God's Creatures.

Thank You Father for All Your Blessings

I honestly think that that when someone gets that upset ...chicken little lady in vid...that they are dealing with personal issues

to add to this recipe, here is an interesting verse from Deut I thought of and looked up

You shall not eat anything which dies of itself. You may give it to the alien who is in your town, so that he may eat it, or you may sell it to a foreigner, for you are a holy people to the LORD your God. You shall not boil a young goat in its mother's milk.  Deut 14:212

I have had veal but it has been years.  Not sure I would go out of my way to eat it now...although the farmers around here have their little calf gloos (like an igloo but for calves) where they

fatten them up...its a sad sight

But I find it interesting that cooking a young goat in its mothers milk is not permissable.  They were also not allowed to eat anything that up and died sans human intervention (for some reason

makes me think of that song 'dead skunk in the middle of the road'...but I digress)

Does not cooking a kid in its mothers milk have humane reasoning behind it or is there some health concern?...would not know of one myself

scripture saying not to cook a kid(baby goat) in its mothers milk is found more than once in the OT.  exodus 23:19 & 34:26,  Deuteronomy 14:21.  Best i can dig up on why not to do this is due to a pagan ritual which involved idolatry.  It was looked upon as a way to improve livestock fertility.

huh.  looked it up too and seems that may be true:

Thou shalt not seethe a kid in his mother's milk—This is the third place in which the prohibition is repeated [Ex 23:19; 34:26]. It was pointed against an annual pagan ceremony (see on [141]Ex 23:19; Ex 34:26).  (Bible hub)

And who knew...its three x's apparently...

so I guess it was a ritual they knew about
