The prophetic word of the Bible brings out how in the last days of mankind Israel and Jerusalem is like a cup of trembling (a cup of staggering) to Arab nations that are around of Israel. The Bible says that a cup of trembling describes deception and thoughts of destruction toward Israel. Even if you don't believe in the Bible, so despite of it the text of the Bible has prophesied very accurately about 2500 years ago current situation in the Middle-East. It is sure that the prophecy of the Bible concerning to the Middle-East will come completely true. Recognizing of Palestinian state shall lead to deception and great war in the Middle-East in the last days of mankind. Really? It's about semantics and other things... but ultimately about good versus evil. Firstly, we should begin by defining 'Palestine'. Ignoring the fact that the Romans renamed the Holy Land of the Jews 'Palestine' (after the Philistines) let's look at more recent definitions of Palestine and Palestinians and we'll go from there. Pre-World War Two the Palestinians were the common citizens of the British Mandate of Palestine. Most Jews who lived there defined themselves as Palestinian (as did the Arabs who dwelled there). In fact the British Army had a Palestinian division comprising of mainly Jews and there was a Palestinian Symphony Orchestra consisting entirely of Jews. There was also a Jewish newspaper called the Palestinian Post. After the Arab (Muslim) nations attacked Israel in 1948, many Arabs fled Israel and the Arab states of Jordan and Syria refused to give them asylum. Many returned as refugees, but not without complications. After the Six-day war of 1967 one of the World's biggest liars Yasser Arafat, renamed the refugees (many of whom were of Syrian and Jordanian descent) as 'Palestinians'. Eventually most of the World came to believe that the true Palestinians were the Arab refugees and not the Jews. However, you are right.... in the main. I'm just clarifying a few points.
