Friendship is rare.  Unlike marriage, friends don't have to share the same faith, but simply respect and accept one another.  If people are too much into appearances, or pretending not to need support etc., then they can't be friends.  In any case, to trust someone else takes courage and commitment.

Just a suggestion... If your church has a weekly praise and prayer report, ask for a fellowship lunch notice.

Another lady and I do ours by email. I made up a schedule to meet one Sunday after worship once a month. I put the notice in a week ahead of time. All are invited for Fellowship and conversation. Each one pays for their own food and can stay for as long as they want.

We're like cheap places like burger places, Chili's, Kowalski s deli etc. And it's been a hit with anywhere from two people to ten, on average it's 7-8.

Get to know one another and witness to them! You will be blessed!?
