Fed. Gov't wants Churches to Push Obamacare

So now our radical Leftist, anti-Christian government wants churches to promote  Obamacare and even provides handy talking points to help.   They even partially quote a verse about the body being a temple that must be insured.

First of all, the body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, and the Bible is making the case that as a temple of the Holy Spirit, it must not be joined to immorality (fornication, adultery, homosexuality, etc.)

It is also ironic that they would call the body a temple when they aggressively fought to force churches to provide abortifants.   They aggressively seek to promote  abortion, homosexuality, sexual immorality which are harmful to the human body and seek to force Christian organizations to pay for these things, but then turn around and claim that the body is the temple.

Secondly, this hypocritical administration doesn't want to see the Christian faith expressed in schools on the grounds that it violates "separation of church and state"  but has no problem using the power of the state in an attempt to use churches as its tool to enforce its unconstitutional healthcare  law.   Funny how "separation of church and state" suddenly flies out the window when the government thinks it can just do whatever it wants.

This whole administration is just plain creepy.  And yet there is a segment of the "liberal evangelical" church that will carry whatever water Obama wants them to.

Churches are not required to deliver government messages any more than the government is required to quote Scripture.  I hope all churches will laugh them out of the pulpit.

The liberal, apostate churches will support obamacare, but my church is dead set against it and rightfully so.  Not giving them any help from over here, LOL

Actually, it's not that hard to believe that many churches would do it, given the state of churches today.

Over 400 churches in 49 states just celebrated the 197th Anniversary of the birth of Charles Darwin.  They called it, "Evolution Sunday."  It was started by Professor Michael Zimmerman at the University of Wisconsin with the "Clergy Letter Project."  He encouraged the clergy across America to sign a letter that says they supported evolution and rejected the Genesis account as literal history.  Over 10,200 clergy signed that letter.

The irony is, while this was ramping up, Richard Dawkins (arguably the most famous atheist) was saying the exact opposite on a TV program.  He said, "Charles Darwin hit on a truly brilliant idea that explains all of life on earth without any need to invoke the supernatural or the divine.  People like to say that faith and science can live together side-by-side, but I don't think they can.  They're deeply opposed.  The clergy are supporting evolution, but the evolutionary, secular humanists are insisting that such a position is unthinkable."  Dawkins said "It was evolution that led me into atheism."  That's why people like Dawkins are take glee when they see pastors and churches supporting evolution because they know it's a step towards people also becoming atheists. Because of this compromise in the church, Dawkins said, "We expect that the next generation in the church will see this inconsistency in the clergy's beliefs, and they will soon give up the Bible altogether."

With things like this going on, it's not difficult to imagine churches pushing Obamacare.

Interesting you bring that up, Keith.    I have lamented many times in the science forums that atheists are more honest about the disparity between the Bible and Evolution than many Christians.

Christians are so desirous of the world's respect that they are willing compromise God's word any way they can in order to be in the good graces of the secular humanists and atheists and others in the world.  They trade the honor that comes from God for the fleeting honor of man.

The thing is, the world thinks they're wrong.  Even Dawkins can see that.  Instead of winning the respect of the world, these Christians who compromise only make themselves into laughing stocks in the eyes of people like Dawkins.
