Going back to those borders means that Israel would lose its early warning radar system in Judea and Samaria that is needed so that Israel can be warned of an attack from an Arab State. It is this early warning system that Israel uses to deploy its surface to air missile system. Going back to the pre1967 borders means giving up its security. In addition, going back to the pre-1967 borders puts Israel's David Ben Gurion Airport, which is only three miles from the West Bank in a lot of danger, which is a HUGE security risk. Once Israel leaves the West Bank, the People of Israel most of whom live in the most narrow corridor between the west bank and the Mediterranean Sea would be in grave danger, as they would be sitting ducks. As it stands there is a security fence that keeps terrorist rockets from raining down on Israel's cities from the west bank, but that would be lost if Israelis were forced to return to what they had prior 1967 with a much, much larger population than they had in 1967 to boot.
