Guest
Good But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8 News For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16 ~ it seems the original good news/gospel has been so mangled.... that it no longer sounds as good news.... so how did Jesus solve.... this dilemma.... ~ So So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. Romans 10:17 Jesus and Thomas Now Thomas, one of the Twelve, called the Twin, was not with them when Jesus came. So the other disciples told him, “We have seen the Lord.” But he said to them, “Unless I see in his hands the mark of the nails, and place my finger into the mark of the nails, and place my hand into his side, I will never believe.” Eight days later, his disciples were inside again, and Thomas was with them. Although the doors were locked, Jesus came and stood among them and said, “Peace be with you.” Then he said to Thomas, “Put your finger here, and see my hands; and put out your hand, and place it in my side. Do not disbelieve, but believe.” Thomas answered him, “My Lord and my God!” Jesus said to him, “Have you believed because you have seen me? Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.” John 20:24-29 (ESV) And The Purpose of This Book Now Jesus did many other signs in the presence of the disciples, which are not written in this book; but these are written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name. Perhaps I am missing your reason for questioning adults through these verses.

First He reveals to me that here is a God. Then He convicts me of sin, righteousness and judgement. He shows me my sin and that I need forgiveness. Then I humble myself before my Creator and ask for forgiveness. Then He revealed to me that is because of Jesus ' great love that He died on the cross so I can be forgiven. It is not hard to believe when it is the work of God in us. It is hard for others to believe if God has not been calling them. These need prayer. Some refuse to come to the light and actively resist the work of the Holy Spirit because their deeds are evil.. Some are too proud to accept God's way of salvation but insist on doing it "my way". That usually means they will try to be as good as the next guy or choose another religion. Jesus said that they can only get in through the door, and He is the door. Jeremiah 31:31–34 (NASB95) 31“Behold, days are coming,” declares the Lord, “when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah, 32not like the covenant which I made with their fathers in the day I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt, My covenant which they broke, although I was a husband to them,” declares the Lord. 33“But this is the covenant which I will make with the house of Israel after those days,” declares the Lord, “I will put My law within them and on their heart I will write it; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people. 34“They will not teach again, each man his neighbor and each man his brother, saying, ‘Know the Lord,’ for they will all know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them,” declares the Lord, “for I will forgive their iniquity, and their sin I will remember no more.”
