Ever notice how one can project their own faults onto another, and then be offended, bitter and unforgiving?  Its not that God does not love you, He does.  God IS drawing you in, look to Jesus, its not on our own power but His.

Lamentations 2:19 Arise, cry out in the night, as the watches of the night begin; pour out your heart like water in the presence of the Lord. Lift up your hands to him for the lives of your children, who faint from hunger at every street corner.

Psalm 62:8  Trust in him at all times, you people; pour out your hearts to him, for God is our refuge

Psalm 52:9  For what you have done I will always praise you in the presence of your faithful people. And I will hope in your name, for your name is good.

Newsboys, we believe

In this time of desperation
When all we know is doubt and fear
There is only one salvation
We believe, we believe
In this broken generation
When all is dark, You help us see
There is only one foundation
We believe, we believe

We believe in God the Father
We believe in Jesus Christ
We believe in the Holy Spirit
And He's given us new life
We believe in the crucifixion
We believe that He conquered death
We believe in the resurrection
And He's coming' back again, we believe

So, let our faith be more than anthems
Greater than the songs we sing
And in our weakness and temptations
We believe, we believe!

We believe in God the Father!
We believe in Jesus Christ!
We believe in the Holy Spirit!
And He's given us new life!
We believe in the crucifixion!
We believe that He conquered death!
We believe in the resurrection!
And He's coming' back again!

Let the lost be found and the dead be raised!
In the here and now, let love invade!
Let the church live love our God will save
We believe, we believe!
And the gates of hell will not prevail!
For the power of God, has torn the veil!
Now we know Your love will never fail!
We believe, we believe!

We believe in God the Father
We believe in Jesus Christ
We believe in the Holy Spirit
And He's given us new life!
We believe in the crucifixion!
We believe that He conquered death!
We believe in the resurrection!
And He's comin' back,
He's comin' back again!
He's comin' back again!
We believe!
We believe

Sanctus Real, Pray

I bow my head to pray

I don't know what to say
I'm not sure how to fix
The things I'm dealing with
I'm in a desperate place
I need to share the weight
But I just don't know how
To let it all pour out

And though I'm silent
My heart is crying
'Cause I was made to
Come to You

So I pray
God I need you more than words can say
Right here in this moment
You know my heart
You know my need
You know every part of me
So even if it's just to speak Your name
I'm gonna pray

I failed to find the time
But You've been calling out
I let the days go by as if I could live without
But it's gotta be here and now
I won't be pulled away
'Cause it's just You and I
So let the world around us fade

As I pray
God I need you more than words can say
Right here in this moment
You know my heart
You know my need
You know every part of me
So even if it's just to speak Your name
I'm gonna pray
I'm gonna pray

Father, will You meet me here right now
Father, I surrender, lay it down
Father, and every time I close my eyes I know that I was made
To lift my hands and pray
I lift my hands and pray
You know my heart
You know my need
And every single part of me
So even if it's just to speak Your name
I'm gonna pray
I'm gonna pray

For King and Country, Shoulders

When confusion's my companion
And despair holds me for ransom
I will feel no fear
I know that You are near

When I'm caught deep in the valley
With chaos for my company
I'll find my comfort here
‘Cause I know that You are near

[Chorus:]
My help comes from You
You're right here, pulling me through
You carry my weakness, my sickness, my brokenness all on Your shoulders
Your shoulders
My help comes from You
You are my rest, my rescue
I don't have to see to believe that You're lifting me up on Your shoulders
Your shoulders

You mend what once was shattered
And You turn my tears to laughter
Your forgiveness is my fortress
Oh Your mercy is relentless

[Chorus]

My help is from You
Don't have to see it to believe it
My help is from you
Don't have to see it, ‘cause I know, ‘cause I know it's true

[Chorus]

My help is from You
Don't have to see it to believe it
My help is from you
Don't have to see it, ‘cause I know, ‘cause I know it's true

2 Corintians 5:17

Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come.

You are loved, beloved.

I forgive you, please forgive me.

Need to breathe, brother

Ramblers in the wilderness we can’t find what we need

Get a little restless from the searching
Get a little worn down in between
Like a bull chasing the matador is the man left to his own schemes
Everybody needs someone beside em’ shining like a lighthouse from the sea

Brother let me be your shelter
I’ll never leave you all alone
I can be the one you call
When you’re low
Brother let me be your fortress
When the night winds are driving on
Be the one to light the way
Bring you home

Face down in the desert now there’s a cage locked around my heart
I found a way to drop the keys where my failures were
Now my hands can’t reach that far
I ain’t made for a rivalry I could never take the world alone
I know that in my weakness I am strong, but
It’s your love that brings me home

Brother let me be your shelter
I’ll never leave you all alone
I can be the one you call
When you’re low
Brother let me be your fortress
When the night winds are driving on
Be the one to light the way
Bring you home

And when you call and need me near
Sayin' where'd you go?
Brother I'm right here
And on those days when the sky begins to fall
You're the blood of my blood
We can get through it all

Brother let me be your shelter
I’ll never leave you all alone
I can be the one you call
When you’re feelin' low
Brother let me be your fortress
When the night winds are driving on
Be the one to light the way
Bring you home

Brother let me be your shelter
I’ll never leave you all alone
I can be the one you call
When you’re low
Brother let me be your fortress
When the night winds are driving on
Be the one to light the way
Bring you home
Be the one to light the way
Bring you home

Lamentations 3:22-24
22The LORD'S lovingkindnesses indeed never cease, For His compassions never fail. 23They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness. 24"The LORD is my portion," says my soul, "Therefore I have hope in Him."…

I think we have been talking about two different things. Getting "offended" is a natural response to deliberately hurtful behavior.

The other thing you all are bringing up is what happens after that "in the moment response". Yes, if you let it fester, it is really only hurting you. (Not always easy to remember of course.) One can forgive without expecting the other to show contrition or ask for forgiveness. Forgiving is the responsibility of the injured person. (Emotionally/mentally/spiritually, that is. Physically, flee first and get safe, then you can focus on the forgiving part--from a safe distance.) However, I believe that restoring trust falls more under the responsibility of the hurtful person. You can forgive and not open yourself up to an unhealthy person. God doesn't expect us to do that. Not opening yourself up to vulnerability isn't bad, it's just common sense. I'm pretty sure there is a Proverbs that is somewhere along those lines. I'll have to go find it.

To be in a loveless marriage between two people calling themselves Christians sucks. I speak from experience.

In my case I had to get honest with myself when I didn't even know I was lying.

Fear, self-delusion, self-pity and self-seeking were my masters. I had let the love of God pass me by.

I healed. She did not. I am happily and usefully whole outside of my relationship. She continues to search for happiness.

God bless her.

Praying. :)

We need to love Christ first and foremost, and grow in Him. Then, and only then, does true love follow for our Christian brethren, husbands, wives, families, and neighbors.

And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment. And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.
(Mar 12:30-31)

As we grow in Christ, look to be an example to those we are married to, (and to the world 2Co 5:20) all the while keeping God first in our lives.
The Scripture verses below do not mean for one to stand by and be physically abused as I've occasionally heard taught over the years.

But to the rest speak I, not the Lord: If any brother hath a wife that believeth not, and she be pleased to dwell with him, let him not put her away. And the woman which hath an husband that believeth not, and if he be pleased to dwell with her, let her not leave him. For the unbelieving husband is sanctified by the wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified by the husband: else were your children unclean; but now are they holy. But if the unbelieving depart, let him depart. A brother or a sister is not under bondage in such cases: but God hath called us to peace. For what knowest thou, O wife, whether thou shalt save thy husband? or how knowest thou, O man, whether thou shalt save thy wife?
(1Co 7:12-16)

I would add some of the advice and thoughts here stem more from mans Psychology rather than God and His Word.
Psychology is a religion. The religion of man, full of his traditions, doctrines, commandments and ways.

Col 2:8  Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.

Where Psychology "is" correct we can find the same in the Bible, which Psychology has "borrowed" from.

Do away with all of mans Psychology and what do we have?
The Word of God standing on it's own merit.
The Church did not need mans Psychology for 1900 years, and we do not need it now.

The Bible and the Author who loves us and died for us has ALL the answers for the Christians needs in this life.

As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby: If so be ye have tasted that the Lord is gracious.
(1Pe 2:2-3)

Gdemoss.. Generally, women finds it harder to do so than men. Men at one point finds it easier to move on. Most women take time or probably never...
