Desperation is taking over my pride and stealing my faith.

Please pray for me. With me. For my head is hung in shame as I ask for help. 

3 months of bad luck has turned my world upside down. I am just a few short steps away from being homeless and in debt with 2 kids. I need a loan. i have started campaigns for it but I'd much rather borrow and pay back than be given a handout. But I am in desperation and at this Moment, there is little I won't do to keep food in my children's stomachs and a roof over their heads. 

I have no credit. I've always bought everything up front. 

 

No payday loans. No short term loans with 800% interest. Just a loan to be paid off over say a year or so. Or a personal lender to set their own deadlines. I'm desperate at the moment. I've never had to borrow from anybody before. So this is a horrible feeling for me and I'm humiliated by it.

im in need of prayers. I'm in need of advice. And I am desperate for help. I know that I must hold onto faith, but I feel it slipping away. 

Once prideful, my humility has my head hung in shame as I beg for help and pray I have the strength to hold on to my faith.

I am praying for your situation also. However, I sugest that you you ditch the pride, and do not feel shame. People can have real needs based on situations which may or may not be withing their own control. I was unemployed for several years, and yes it can be tough.

However, do not think of charity as something to avoid as shameful, it is only shameful to beg for help if you are not willing to help yourself. Charity, is just another word for love. Hoping that others can be loving, and helpful, is reasonable, but this is not the place for solicitation. There are government programs, private organizations, churches and often individuals, some of them might be friends or relatives, who can get you some help. Take advantage of that fact, and reaslize that if you allow others to help you, you are providing them an opportunity to serve the Lord.

sometime we need to make adjustments in our standard of living, but  poverty is not the end of the worlds, it might be the end of out expectations. Be thankful for what you do still have, be mindful that there or others worse off, and keep your focus on what you can do, and on being content in your circumstances.

Somtimes these challenges can be used by the Lord to teach us patience, contentment, obedience, humility, etc, so be open to benefiting from hard times.

I too am in a very stressful situation financially.  It has been a very tough year and a half.  I am convinced,  however, that this too shall pass.  I believe God loves me and mine and He will never leave nor desert me.  Times are very tough and I no longer have any puffed up pride.  I'm being taught quite a lesson during this stressful situation; a lot  about myself  and my faith as well.
