I lust after my wife all the time, and am not ashamed to admit it. If a man does not desire his wife in that matter, then there is something wrong with him.

my thought before i saw that reference, the reference made me wonder if there is a kind of 'lust' that is considered worldly like Paul mentioned in that reference.

Yes there is a kind of lust that is considered worldly all kinds of them.

Is it wrong to lust over a man or woman if you are not married ?Is it a human fleshly desire that we need to keep control of?

Of course a man can lust after his own wife.As long as he is doing what is gentle and kind and they as a couple are in agreement then go for it. :)

  1. LUST

    very strong sexual desire.

1.have a very strong sexual desire for someone.

I'm going to agree with that, bopeep.  A married man SHOULD lust after his wife and no other but he should not put her before God.  If God is first, there is no problem.

No God comes first and is #1 above anyone else in our lives.

As I see it no, because in I Thessalonians 4:3-5 it speaks of fornication (v. 3) than Paul tells us in v. 4, for one to possess his vessels in sanctification and honor to which the writer of Hebrews and even Paul address further in the following passages:

Marriage is honourable in all, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge.   Hebrews 13:4

Nevertheless, to avoid fornication, let every man have his own wife, and let every women have her own husband.   I Corinthians 7:2

So that we are told that marriage is honorable in all, and the bed is pure by the writer of Hebrews; while Paul tells us to avoid fornication let the man have his own wife, and woman her own husband.

I don't think he was talking about fornication, can fornication be committed with your own wife..?

Paul in I Thessalonians 4:3 speaks of abstaining from fornication; but speaks in I Corinthians 7:2 of how saints can avoid fornication by marriage, for in marriage all is honorable, Hebrews 13:4.
