I wouldn't pretend to make it sound easy to love our enemies... but the commandment

of Jesus still stands for all of us to follow. No other scripture verses contradict that command.

maybe a glitch as I was replying to Oakwood on the bombing of Japan, and there was a 'funny' window ? ?

Well, OK.....   but while you are here, I don't believe what we were told in the history books about bombing Japan either.....   or Pearl Harbor or a whole lot of things we were taught in our history class.....

I quote myself:

exactly how does one love an enemy that wants to cut off the heads of your grand children?  what do you do when they come for them?

I question the need to bomb Japan when they were running out of resources, air bombing was effective, and the Soviet Union just declared war on Japan.  Why is it a stupid question to ask why we don't continue to obliterate evil with an atom bomb when in the long run it could be justified as saving lives?

Japan didn't invade Pearl Harbor, but did attack it.  During a discussion last month at work, I realized I had no idea why Japan attacked Pearl Harbor, I just remember what was taught in history class, so I looked it up.  Now, I question who gets to write these history books, and I can't say I know the true history, but it appears it was in response to actions taken earlier by the U.S.

Dwight D. Eisenhower wrote in his memoir The White House Years:

In 1945 Secretary of War Stimson, visiting my headquarters in Germany, informed me that our government was preparing to drop an atomic bomb on Japan. I was one of those who felt that there were a number of cogent reasons to question the wisdom of such an act. During his recitation of the relevant facts, I had been conscious of a feeling of depression and so I voiced to him my grave misgivings, first on the basis of my belief that Japan was already defeated and that dropping the bomb was completely unnecessary, and secondly because I thought that our country should avoid shocking world opinion by the use of a weapon whose employment was, I thought, no longer mandatory as a measure to save American lives.[75]

You are correct , and I really don't know who is writing the history books but they left out who really started it , and how did they let them get all the way to pearl harbor, ? this in it self is another deception of propaganda ? at its finest,, that the people think dropping that bomb was justified,  no one looks up to see the truth any more, they believe what they are told and live with it ,

As far as false teachers - The Bible doesn't actually command us to "love" false teachers specifically-- but be aware of them, uncover the false teaching, reprove, rebuke and stay clear. In general we are to love our "enemies" but that doesn't mean being yoked with them or tolerating deception or falsehood.  It should go without saying that Christians pray even for False teachers that they would turn back to the Bible Scripture, & obey God and not mislead people away from the Truth to doctrines of demons etc..

2 Timothy 4:1-22 ESV

I charge you in the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who is to judge the living and the dead, and by his appearing and his kingdom: preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, and exhort, with complete patience and teaching.

If there are false teachers, maybe at this site, then they should either be banned to keep the content out, or as this verse states: "reprove, rebuke, and exhort, with complete patience and teaching".   If a teaching is wrong, and someone  patiently corrects, backing it up with scripture, to me seems to expose the truth.  When animosity is clearly shown without any correction done with kindness, well, the condescension is quite apparent.  Love your enemies?  Maybe we can start with loving those who do not completely agree with us?

This was very recent that I took the time to read some about this, I always thought the bombs were to shorten the war and save lives.  Maybe,

they did shorten the war, however the war was winding down anyway.....     What we don't read was the carpet firebombing other pares was creating as much or more damage than the atomic bombs did, maybe without the radiation lingering....   but it was the USA that cleaned up the mess that was left behind.   Some people say that Japan's Emperor was trying to stop the war before we dropped the bombs, but I personally have not seen any real proof of that.

However if we had not agreed to let the Japanese keep thier Emperor, we would have had to kill every last one of them.

We also needed to test the bombs for effectiveness since there was two different ones and we needed to know which one to continue to produce...  so there was a lot going on in making that decision...  a lot seems to have been lost in the shuffle, but enough to be able to have several different thought processes and no real way to prove any of them that I have seen.

who would that be?

I guess I'm responding to the harshness in a lot of posts, and accusations of false teaching with no attempt to show how it is false.  If I am wrong about something, and you were to treat me harshly, how could that help to promote truth, or guide me to learn and correct my understanding?  Not meant for you in particular, someone has at the bottom of their posts something like nobody cares how much you know until they know how much you care, or something like that.  That would probably speak of me most of the time, thinking I know something but failing to show people I love how much I care.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
