Help! A relative of mine ended up having to spend this day alone and is sad. So had been really looking forward to eating a ham. My understanding is that it was thawed in the fridge overnight but for some reason is still very frozen. Owns no microwave big enough to accomodate it for defrosting.

Told me that the internet just says to soak in water and change every half hour. But it's a big ham and wanted to eat sooner. Any tips on how to speed up the thawing of it?
