Is Jerusalem ever supposed to be destroyed?

One-tenth of Jerusalem will be destroyed, and probably the Temple of the Antichrist will be right there (Rev 11).

At times I do also and sometimes wonder if islam's roots & rome share ancient pagan gods.

They all have the same roots, hence "Mystery BABYLON".  Babylon gave rise to all the idolatrous systems in the world today, and that began at the tower of Bab-el (Babel).

I do understand, but doesn't it get completely destroyed in an hour......

Is Jerusalem ever supposed to be destroyed?

Not sure what destroyed means.  Don't forget there will be a major earthquake that splits the city (Jerusalem) in three parts, so does that show the city as being destroyed?

Another perspective- maybe just the inner city limits will be "destroyed" not the outskirts.

Rev. 18:8 ...she will be utterly burned with fire... 19 ...in one hour she is made desolate. ... 21 ...the great city Babylon shall be thrown down, and shall not be found anymore.

Nope, this is not Jerusalem.

Praying~!

I have set watchmen upon thy walls, O Jerusalem, which shall never hold their peace day nor night: ye that make mention of the LORD, keep not silence, And give him no rest, till he establish, and till he make Jerusalem a praise in the earth. Isaiah 62:6-7

Glory~!

Mike Coldagelli has a large article on why Jerusalem is Babylon. It posted at www.signetringminitries.org and uses scriptures to come to the conclusion that Jerusalem is Babylon, please check it out. It's a great article and makes sense.

USA is not Babylon because it's a gentile nation and all gentile nations will be destroyed.

Let me know what you think after you read the article.

Blessings

Karan,?
