I do think our chains are being yanked this way and that way, to the amusement of a few. Anybody looking at a world map knows better than to think the world is either flat or a frisbee.

I haven't looked at all the comments.

But in my view,  the earth was encircled by a body of water, which would keep the temperature very even the world over. Plus as that stage of earths history it had never rained, the water came out of the ground, springs I would imagine. When the waters over the earth broke it created the flood, once the waters were broken circling the earth the temperatures at the poles froze the waters making them recede.

I have no evidence of this its just my spin on it.

I was taught that there was a vapor canopy over the earth. But I think Dr Carl Baugh believes in a crystalline frozen water firmament canopy over the earth before the flood. I forget how high he said it would've been where it is extremely cold in the atmosphere.  

Pre-flood world supposedly had a hyperbaric atmosphere & higher oxygen levels, causing longer life spans.

You might look up Dr. Carl Baugh & other creation science websites. The mega flora & fauna were out of this world. (3 foot dragonflies?)

I think the bible study manuals site has more info on the firmament in the  evolution vs creation section.
