God isn't made of flesh and blood - ergo he does not breath like you and I do.  God is a spirit.  David used figurative language here.  God gave "spirit" to Adam - making him a "living soul".  Animals are not living souls.  God did not "breathe" or give this to animals.

As far as the question:

  • visible things - a euphemism for created substances - or something
  • invisible things - a euphemism for nothing

Ok I see what you are saying

No one is saying he is flesh and blood, but guess what, Jesus became flesh and still is, remains flesh and bone TO-DAY.

Luke 24:39, "Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have."

The only difference between a spirit being and a flesh and bone being is substance. Remember God eats, and God ate food!  He breathes, he talks, He has every bodily part as we have. We are made in His image and likeness, only finite! God eats food! Look up the Scriptures, its easy to do.

The question is in the title...

GOD CREATED EVERYTHING OUT OF NOTHING. HE SIMPLY SPOKE THE WORLDS INTO EXISTENCE.

Men also create things out of nothing, in one sense.  Before an object is created, it exists only the the mind as a thought. Then it takes form as an object.

So what did He put in Adam in Genisis 2 to make him a living soul?

The breath of life. God gives life to every creature. But when Adam was created his spirit was alive within his soul -- hence "a living soul".  But ever since Adam, human beings are created as "dead souls" -- the soul is alive but the spirit is dead. Hence the absolute necessity of the New Birth.

Is the Spirit considered nothing or something?

The Holy Spirit isn't a thing.  He is a person.

Would not His breath be a thing?

would non-visible things still be considered things?

His breath would be an energy source.  Therefore, He breathes life, or give energy to things He creates.  So, it is not nothing, but it an energy that we can use in the same way that we cannot use protons and electrons to make different kinds of matter.  But, the reality that matter is created by a combination of positive and negative particles reflects that creation is is a type of energy, and not simply nothing.

God did not to have anything to use in creation-- He is God- so he can cause things to be. He needs no raw material- he just calls things into existance

What did God create everything out of?

Ultimately, God's own self.
