I dont need quakes. That one (well really 3 but I only felt 2 of them) was more than enough.

Let the laughter begin from the californians ....

The quakes were only 4.1 and 4.0. But wow what I heard and felt. First there was a big boom. Who knew quakes made noise? I sure didnt. Then my chair started rocking. And I heard noises on my roof. (I was sure the roof was collapsing.) Then the floor started shaking. (Ok not the roof but apparently a sinkhole forming under my home.) But the worst effect was the "pack of large dogs" I heard running through my home. I followed the noise. At that point I wondered if I was going crazy. Then 20 minutes later was the 4.0. That was only shaking.

How do you californians stand the quakes?

My sis in law was in a big one (7 or 8) in washington a few years ago. She was in the middle of giving someone a physical exam (she is a pa) when it happened. So she was trying to hold the patient on the examining table while trying not to fall down herself. She still lives there. I would have left the next day lol
