Our Lord says to forgive others just as He has also forgiven us. the hate is only consuming you not the other person... it can totally destroy your communion and relationship with the Savior... not really  worth it.

How do you forgive when you still hate

Pray to let go of the hate. Pray for that person. Try to see that person as God sees them. If God can forgive us for all the things we do, who are we to not forgive???

Very well said, sister Seraph.

Answering your question, brother Spark: "What happens if you can't forgive?".

“But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire. Therefore if thou bring thy gift to the altar, and there rememberest that thy brother hath ought against thee; leave there thy gift before the altar, and go thy way; first be reconciled to thy brother, and then come and offer thy gift. Agree with thine adversary quickly, whiles thou art in the way with him; lest at any time the adversary deliver thee to the judge, and the judge deliver thee to the officer, and thou be cast into prison. Verily I say unto thee, Thou shalt by no means come out thence, till thou hast paid the uttermost farthin.” (Matthew 5.22-26).

“And that servant, which knew his lord's will, and prepared not himself, neither did according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes. But he that knew not, and did commit things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few stripes. For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required: and to whom men have committed much, of him they will ask the more.” (Luke 12.47,48).

It’s worth to question: is there anything that justifies the practice of evil? Why does one have more right to life or some benefit than another? Which is more important: the works, the goods or the individuals?

Many times we pass over others or despise them because we ignore the plan of the Eternal and their utility on this plane. Of course, no one who is a slave of sin has any real use (Rom 3.9-18). Yet, what few know is that the real evil in our lives is within us and the evil of every day (Matt. 6:34) is intended to give opportunity for the Favor of the Eternal to give us the right confidence in Jesus and thereby save us from ourselves. (Eph 2: 8-9). That is, we help our neighbor, not because of what he has to offer, but because it is through him that Jesus operates his good will in us, which leads us to grow, whether in the mind, in the feeling or in the spirit.

May Jesus help us to do the good, pleasant and perfect will of the eternal instead of tormenting ourselves (John 13.34,35; Matthew 5.39-45).
