It's weird that the bear kept trying to get into her house in particular. What was it about her house that the bear kept trying to get in for? Or what may have been in there that it was after?

There's probably no way of ever having that question answered, but I can't help but to wonder.

That said, another article I read pointed out how it is not uncommon for residents to feed the bears.

Bears are creatures of habit...if they find something that they want they will keep returning. Whats interesting is she did contact the authorities-around here they would have simply trapped and relocated the bear, and if that didn't work they would have shot it.

it's my understanding that if you feed a wild bear you have signed it's death warrant for sooner or later it will need to be disposed of.

The Bear was named Smokey and was lecturing on forest fires.
