Sometimes people like to say "The Bible says" or "I read on the internet" or "I read an article" but don't really back up their statements with evidence. For a conversation to be useful it seems that backing up your statements with facts and/or passages makes sense and increases the value of the conversation. Otherwise, it's just an opinion. Which is fine. But an opinion and Biblical truth are two different things. Supporting your assertion with a link or the actual article validates your position and allows the other party to study the subject for themselves further. Don't you think?
