I miss when fiction was better written before the internet and ebooks became popular. I miss being able to walk better but that isnt related to the internet lol. I didnt have arthritis back then. I am from wayyyy before all the technology started. I am not an advocate for cell phones. I like them for emergencies only. I really have been forced to get a computer. Because the world is just going to pass you by and tromp on you without one. When my kids were in grade school their teachers told them that if they did not do their papers on a computer they would not get as good of grade. So we invested in one.Many have lost their jobs due to computers. There is some good in technology some bad. I think when I was going up in the 50's and 60's life was so much more simple. I get all my books at the library. And I get a lot of them . I am an avid reader. Ouch! I just have a very small taste of arthritis. It is very painful. That is so true about school work and technology - a must have. You were good mum for getting your kids a computer ? The 50's/60's just like another lifetime ago - the pace, the social structure, relationships between people... Although we did not have the medical technology and meds back then that saves lives today.
