Blessings, my dear Kwikster sister ...

May I say that IMO the whosoevers are those to whom are given

that little seed of faith, which enanbles them to actually believe!

This belief-faith-trust in Jesus and His Gospel (Good News)

is totally against man's nature ... according to many NT verses.

IMO, the Lord has played a lot of word games in the NT.

He is more than able to cover ALL of the bases w/o us even realizing it.

And during those 17 years, He sure taught Paul well how to do it.

this comment is very suspect to my understanding care to elaborate?

Blessings Beloved Brother....I'm just happy to be your SISTER!!!!

Your love for all of the brothers and sisters blows me away!

I have a lot of repenting to do to be in your league.

1 John has really made an impression on me lately,

which says:

If we don't love all of our (born-from-above) brethren,

we don't have eternal life.

Yes, it's kind of a long story!

God does not wish to discourage (especially) His baby believers.

So, He somewhat hides some of His "hard sayings".

More so in the letters to the churches than in the Gospels,

which were written to everyone.

Paul was taught how to write super-tactfully during those

17 years he spent in the desert regions with the Lord.

My favorite example is Romans 6 where Paul is very tactfully saying

that born-from-above believers are NO longer slaves of sin,

but are free to CHOOSE to sin or not to sin,

and if they choose to be slaves of sin, it means eternal death.

Believe it or not ... this is what Paul is saying!

To summarize: The tough-to-swallow anti-OSAS truths

are mixed in with the myriads of uplifting verses,

which edify, exhort, encourage, promise, and etc.

It is almost as if the dire warnings about losing salvation are camouflaged

... only to be revealed to certain believers by the most precious Holy Spirit.

Those who are led by the Spirit (warnings included) are God's kids (Rom 8:14).

Also involved is God's desire for civilized societies.

The more that the non-elect are kept in the dark,

the more some of them will try to please God through works..

Remember the reason Jesus gave for Him using parables?

I do love ,with all of me but that is because of He Who Abides in me,Praise Jesus,,,,,,Zack, there was a time I went out into the wilderness & the heart began to harden,I was hindering Holy Spirit because I would not forsake "self".....the spirit of pride was rampant, one day my eyes were opened & He Revealed to me my very own heart,it was not a pretty sight and so i hung my flesh upon the cross and died,a slow death but none the less,,,the old had passed & the new Creature in Christ Jesus started to emerge  & here I am,because He died for me,I live for Him...........All the Glory belongs to God Alone,it is none of me,it is all Jesus!!!        Much Love-in Christ,Kwik

Thanks, sister Kwikster ...

I did arrive at the conclusion many years ago that Jesus is everything!

My love for the brethren has been hindered because of not knowing

who is who ... all Christian churches and Christian forums have

some enemies who are fighting against Jesus and His Gospel.

Jesus called out such people and was stern verbally against them.

However, I have grown considerably in this area during the past year.

Blessings and Love to you, Zach

Yes, thanks for your concern ...

I have been endeavoring to do so more and more in the past few months.

You remind me of the apostle Paul ...

with your plethora of edifications, exhortations, encouragements, etc.

... but, you're a bit short on warnings (hidden or otherwise).

Paul clearly and distinctly says this:

Titus 3:5 (KJV)

[5] Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;

clearly you are teaching that works we do saves us or keeps us saved and clearly The Lord says this

Matthew 7:22 (KJV)

[22] Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?

[23] And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Most of the grotesque things I hear or read is a people immersed in sin in a sin encouraged environment thinking there are things here that we can use in works to achieve what the death of The Holy Pure Son of God could only do... but I understand that is was born out of the catholic church and many protestants have maintained the error...

I'm sure it has been said to you many times but why not once more - if we can't earn salvation by works how can it be taught that we keep it by works?
Love, Steven
