yes because those people have a free will just like everyone else and if they don't mind the devil giving them orders to effect your life, they will have the authority to make your life miserable.....   or tempt you with just about everything you can imagine.    Btw, it is not a simple thing to get rid of a demon out of a person if they don't want it gone...   you can kick it out, but it will come back for the person is ok with it.

ok i understand...thanks for getting back

Blessings believUme.....

Of course he does ,they don't recognize him A)-Because they do not try the spirits B)-They are not Filled with the Word of God & leave room for what is not of God C)-They have not completely submitted 'self"

There is a lot more to it but the enemy's prime target is Christians,,,,does he look for those that already serve him?A lazy, complacent Christian doesn't grow, how does anything grow if you don't feed it?As a Christian grows they have more Wisdom & Understanding and they desire Holiness,,,,,,any part of sin that is not forsaken leaves anyone vulnerable to the wiles of the enemy,it is an open invitation to the devil                 With love-in Christ,Kwik

Do you think that satan the accuser of the brethren, is planting thoughts in the heads of common Christians to do his dirty work.

It makes sense

Why else would Christians shoot their own?

Satan uses temptation be it believer or unbeliever to get us to sin against God to destroy one's life anyway he can to entice a person.  Satan is a liar and has been from the beginning as he lied to Eve deceiving or tricking her into eating of the forbidden tree and given it to Adam to eat.  Satan has been using lies ever since the beginning of time and YES he plants thoughts in the minds of even Christians to be the instruments of iniquity (sin, unrighteousness or wrong doing) and that even includes Christians being tempted to shoot their own just as Cain killed his brother Abel because his own works (deeds) were evil (sinful).

2Co 10:4  For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds,  2Co 10:5  casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ,

These verses apply to those who oppose Christ, but they also apply to thoughts planted in our own minds that oppose Christ.  We counter with the truth of God's Word, the sword of the Spirit, just as Jesus did when tempted in the wilderness.  If Jesus can be tempted in these ways, so can we.  The lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes and the pride of life.  And we are drawn away by our own lusts.  Satan knows our weaknesses and capitalizes on them.  When we become strong in God's word and know how to resist evil thoughts, then he picks on the weakest member of the family.  And he also waits till we are the most vulnerable--after a great victory when we are tempted by pride--after a great loss such as the death of a loved one.  Then we are tempted to blame God and some are even turned to hate God.  We should never blame God for the work of satan.  We should never doubt His love for us.

Rom 8:28  ASV And we know that to them that love God all things work together for good, even to them that are called according to his purpose.

Rom 8:31  What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who is against us? Rom 8:32  He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not also with him freely give us all things?  Rom 8:33  Who shall lay anything to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth;  Rom 8:34  who is he that condemneth? It is Christ Jesus that died, yea rather, that was raised from the dead, who is at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.

Rom 8:37  Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. Rom 8:38  For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers,  Rom 8:39  nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Since satan is the father of lies, we simply don't have to listen to him.  Most often we are tempted by our own lusts and it has little to do with satan.  Some people give way too much credit to the enemy when they should be submitting to God.

Wuest:  For this reason He says, God sets himself in battle array against the arrogant and haughty but gives grace to the humble and lowly.

Jas 4:7  (7-12) Be subject with implicit obedience to God at once and once for all. Stand immovable against the onset of the devil and he will flee from you. Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse hands, O sinners, and purify hearts, O double-minded. Be sorrowful and distressed and grieve and weep audibly. Let your laughter be turned to sadness and your joy to gloominess. Permit yourselves to be humbled in the Lord's presence and He will exalt you.
