I'd like to suggest a book called the Pilgrims Progress by John Bunyon.

You can buy it cheap on the net, it's a good read.

Or,it you are tight with money, and in  hurry, you can just read it, it is not copyrighted!

Guest BacKaran

Thanks, I never knew that! I buy a few copies at a time and hand out to visitors at worship.

Could we have a section on solid bibles and other godly books to read?

I just know the few that I'm familiar with but I'd like to check out other books of they are solid.

Blessings,

Karan

Also, do you have a study bible? They are really helpful.

Blessings to you

Karan?

Pilgrims Progress is a great book, I read it years ago.  And a study Bible is a great idea too.

The corintians were walking in all the gifts and were only fit for milk. says Paul. Who is walking in all the gifts today? Some dont think the gifts are even for us. so how can we possibly talk about maturity let alone walk in it?

As time passed, I prayed.

and Understood..the need to be a mature Christian. I have no grievances to bring forward at this time, nor do I believe I will bring many grievances at all anymore. As an adult in the faith, I understand responsibility, and what needs to get done.

I will say this. I understand scripture now. The original reason why I came to scripture (Power, dominion over evil, attracting wealth, etc...)...was wrong, and not the way scripture defines what being in Christ means. I understand I can do nothing without him.

While my needs are changing...The fact I'm a 27 year old living at home with his parents, never having a girlfriend, even though I've been told I look handsome by others, among other things...has contributed to why I held God in a low opinion.

...but that is child's behavior.

As an adult, I take responsibility, and move onward.

No questions. I just realize what the truth is, and now wonder...can I EVER live a free lifestyle where I choose how to live in Christ?

We look at life as a process...but it is not. Maturing is simply the story of us coming around to who we "are." In other words, all things with God are described with the words "I am." God "is" and if we are in Christ, we too just "are"...even if we have not lived it yet. History is His story. Time is [scientifically] an illusion. There is no time of maturing. Time is simply the media by which the story of who we "are" is told to us. Keep reading your story...but...It is finished. You "are."
