Even a person who has CPR and first aid credentials. It is very rare that they would not be able to find one of those who are somewhat qualified. So are you saying the regular person has to show their basic first aid certificate before assisting in an emergency in the US? Not so in Australia. Yes, personally I think it is a waste of time. I think all personnel on an airline should be qualified to give CPR and first aid. I am sure that they have to take CPR classes.
