Salvation in the Bible is deliverance from something or someone that can cause death, severe trials or danger and requires a savior. For humans to be saved from sin and death also requires a ransom or price paid to buy back from Adam's rebellion in the garden of Eden that brought on sin and death for us as his offspring.(see Rom 8:2)

This ransom covers the "cost" that satisfies God's perfect standard of justice (see Ex 21:23), a perfect man for a perfect man (see Ps 49:7, 8), of the perfect man Jesus Christ equal to Adam before his rebellion.(1 Cor 15:45; note: this requirement shows that Jesus is not God, but a perfect Son of God who left his heavenly position, "emptied himself and took a slave's form and became (a perfect) human...(who)....humbled himself and became obedient to the point of death, yes death on a torture stake", Phil 2:7, 8)

So what is necessary for salvation and to what are these ones saved ? The apostle Peter made clear that the end of one's faith is salvation, not anytime before, saying: "In order that the tested quality of your faith.....may be found a cause for praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ (that is still future)......Though you do not see him now, yet you exercise faith in him and are greatly rejoicing with an indescribable and glorious joy, as you attain the goal of your faith, your salvation".(1 Pet 1:7-9)

Hence, no one is saved now, for Jesus said that "the one who has endured to the end will be saved".(Matt 24:13) Loyal ones must maintain their faith till "the end" and then they are rewarded with life eternal in heaven (immortality) as "joint-heirs" with Jesus in the Kingdom of God (Rom 8:17) or life on a paradise earth.(see Matt 5:5; Ps 37:11, 29; Luke 23:43)

A person loyal to God can lose his righteous standing before our Maker, Jehovah God. Ezekiel was told by God: "And you, son of man, tell the sons of your people, ' The righteousness of the righteous man will not save him when he revolts.....When I say to the righteous one: "You will surely keep living", and he trusts in his own righteousness and does what is wrong, none of his righteous acts will be remembered, but he will die for the wrong that he has done".(Eze 33:12, 13)

The apostle Paul said that "with the heart one exercises faith for righteousness, but with the mouth one makes public declaration for salvation".(Rom 10:10) Those who are not "making public declaration" such as "publicly and from house to house" (Acts 20:20) in imitation of Jesus in preaching the "good news of the Kingdom"(Matt 24:14), has no salvation waiting (among a multitude of other requirements).

Paul further stated, quoting from Joel 2:32: "For "everyone who calls on the name of Jehovah (not "the Lord") will be saved".(Rom 10:13) Proverbs 18:10 says: "The name of Jehovah is a strong tower. Into it the righteous runs and receives protection".
