Very true, we have gotten so divided along partisan lines that one party would grovel to a foreign power to hurt the other party.   The group that once stood shoulder to shoulder with our military now regards them as weak and helpless.

Military strength begins with the Commander Inn Chief.

Again, why did we lose Viet Nam?

More like in a diminished state of readiness and if Obama and Hillary get their way we will have been reduced to the force strength we had just prior to WWII.   I would come down harder on the party that weakened the military.  Instead, you condemn the party the recognizes what the other party has done to our military.

Because Congress didn't want to win it

I had to remove some profanity from the initial topic. Please understand that we don't allow this here and it is a definite violation of the terms of service. In the future this will almost certainly result in being banned from the topic.

God bless,

Steve

And for the past 8 years, we've had a federal government that has been weakening our military and making them ineffective.

How about reducing the standards for physical readiness so that it would appear that women were scoring has high as men on PT scores?

How about firing 200 generals and admirals over a five year period for disagreeing with him about things like force structure or not being loyal to him?    Obama sees the military as HIS military.    He demands that those under his command obey him, not the Constitution they swore to defend.

Letting sleaze buckets like  gays and transgenders  openly serve is another weakening element.

Fewer are enlisting and many are not re-enlisting once their contract expires.  Obama loathes the military.

Do you have some data to support these claims?

Nope, and I also do not live in a bubble of misinformation.

The US Army PFT is the same as it has been in the last 20 plus years.  Push ups, sit-ups and a 2 mile run.  The scoring has not changed.

The USMC PFT is the same as it has been for more than 30 years (with the exception of situps being replaced by crunches which happened 20ish years ago), Pull ups/Flex arm hang, crunches and a 3 mile run.  The scoring has not changed.

The US Navy has updated their standards, previously you could fail 3 PRTs in 4 years before being discharged now it is 2 in 3 years.

The US Air Force has changed in that now everyone has to do the same PFT, while in the past it was based upon job assignment.  Also they have added in a waist measurement that was not there before looking for those who are over weight.
