(Worthy News) - Britain said on Wednesday it will send fighter jets to Romania next year and the United States promised troops, tanks and artillery to Poland in NATO's biggest military build-up on Russia's borders since the Cold War.

Germany, Canada and other NATO allies also pledged forces at a defense ministers meeting in Brussels on the same day two Russian warships armed with cruise missiles entered the Baltic Sea between Sweden and Denmark, underscoring East-West tensions.

In Madrid, the foreign ministry said Russia had withdrawn a request to refuel three warships in Spain's North African enclave of Ceuta after NATO allies said they could be used to target civilians in Syria. [ Source ]

Good.  It is amazing how many people want us to cower in fear of the big Bear.

It is only because of Obama's cowardice that the Big Bear is in Syria.  It is now a little too late to oust Russia, especially since America has lost its moral high ground by literally arming and supporting Radical Islamist terrorists in Syria. The West should now stay out of Syria and let Putin sort out the mess.  As far as the Syrians are concerned, the West is intruding where it does not belong. Then you have Turkey and Iran also intruding where they do not belong.

The article I responded to was about sending troops to Norway, not Syria.

There is a connection. The West is now belatedly waking up to Russia's military power on both fronts, as well as its influence in other parts of the world.

I find the connection between one's view of the strength of Russia and their political point of view to be fascinating, the further right someone is they more they are afraid of Russia. It is the politically expedient thing to do I guess
