It is not up to the US to tell Israel what they can and cannot do with their own land. The Palestinians have no right to once square inch of what belongs to Israel by divine decree. The Land wasn't given to anyone but Israel. The Palestinians would view any deal as proof that terrorism works and thus would only inspire more terrorism. The Palestinians do not want a deal. They want nothing less than the complete annihilation of Israel. There is no "deal" that will work when the Palestinians don't think Israel even has a right to exist in the first place.
