I did note another news article that said he resigned though, good move on his part for the business sake:"The company's board of directors on Tuesday accepted Harrigan's resignation. Chief technology officer Fred Wilmont will fill Harrigan's role as the board searches for his replacement." Pretty strong words from Harringan on election night:"Harrigan’s posts on election night included one saying, “I’m going to kill the president. Elect,” according to the Reddit copy of his Facebook comments. After a friend responded “You just need to get high,” Harrigan wrote, “Nope, getting a sniper rifle and perching myself where it counts. Find a bedroom in the White House that suits you. … I'll find you.” I somewhat doubt his sincerity in apologizing profusely about the statements he made on election night. Sure did not sound like a "flawed joke out of context" in his previous statements:"My humble apologies that a flawed joke has become public/out of context. My poor judgement does not represent the views of @packetsled"“My humble apologies that a flawed joke has become public/out of context. My poor judgement does not represent the views of @packetsled customers, investors or the officers of @packetsled,” Harrigan wrote in a series of tweets. “I have no malicious intention towards the #POTUS, and apologize to all for my lack of judgement and offensive commentary. I wish you all well.” Elections can certainly be heated!
Guest shiloh357
It remains to be seen if this gets him out of hot water with the authorities. They have no sense of humor about stuff like this, and you can go to prison for these kinds of threats, even if you don't mean it.
