The World Health Organisation has data sheet of the life expectancy of every country.    Don't know how to exactly frame this question, but i will try.  Is it that science can extend the life of men , or it it the genes of man that has the heredity passed on. Where is God in this equation ?.

I would suspect a lot of the life expectency, has more to do with the level of health care, access to good food and water, etc then it does genes.

Thanks gentlemen for the replies.  So just to clarify, each country is give a rating of each man and woman average expected life span.  Some countries has better health care, food ,shelter ect as patriot rightly outlined and we know that for a fact.  Genes may play a small role as for example in the case of heart disease.   So then if a man knows these facts, is it not logical for him to think to try and move to a country where he can live longer life.

See where i am trying to get at from a world point of view.  A christian believes in his bible and what God said about life and death.  But a man looking from the outside is seeing facts and therefore is putting his faith on science and the ability of man to better his life and the things he can do.

Some may even say that God is not fair in allowing the rich and powerful more life than him who is destitute and miserable.  And why the promiscuous nations are allowed to prosper with long life and good health.

How are christians to show this man that the God of the bible is true to all and loves all equally.  see why had difficulty asking this question.

God is always in the equation, since He alone determines the lifespan of each and every creature.

You will note as you go through Scripture that the life span of humans before the Flood was close to 1,000 years, and then gradually reduced to less than 100 years thereafter.  We are told that it is generally 70 years to 80 years, but could go beyond 100 years.

There are many factors which affect longevity, and while genes have some impact, lifestyles, diets, location on the planet, pollution, and stress levels all have a bearing. The oldest living person attributes her longevity to two eggs a day.

I know plenty of rich folks who died young, and poor folks who lived long lives.

I think all three can have an effect on the length of life....       one of the promises of the old covenant was a long life.
