How anonymous can you be with technology these days?

Is it even a reality anymore?

That is true, but things you can do to minimize your online presence, never use your real name, never put your home address or credit card online, never give anyone your home town, use proxy servers, if your really paranoid change your IP daily.

I stay very private while on line. Never give anyone any personal information at all....EVER. Do not give out your last name. And I keep my life and what I do to myself. I have two e-mails. One for junk and casual people and one for immediate family.
