The ruling seals Republican Donald Trump's narrow victory over Democrat Hillary Clinton for Michigan's16 electoral votes. U.S. District Judge Mark Goldsmith agreed with Republicans who argued that the three-day recount must end a day after the state appeals court dealt a blow to the effort. The court said Stein, who finished fourth in Michigan on Nov. 8, didn't have a chance of winning even after a recount and therefore isn't an "aggrieved" candidate. Don't know how to verify this, but I saw reports that the Michigan recount was uncovering voter fraud - I am guessing the fraud favored Clinton. In any event, I'm glad the judge decided to go by the rule of law on this instead of allowing more money and time wasted on a recount that wouldn't change the outcome of the election. Guest shiloh357
It seems that the only one who has the legal standing to call for a recount would be Hillary and then only if there was evidence of fraud.  That would be interesting if in an attempt to do a recount to steal the election from Trump, that they actually found evidence of fraud in Clinton's favor and thus disqualifying all of those ballots.

There's something really suspect about a third party candidate that finished fourth in the race initiating these recounts in the first place. The biggest issue is the Russian hacking and what the CIA has discovered. Just a recount of votes is not going to make a difference. It goes much deeper than that. Only something the CIA or the FBI can recover.

Who cares if Russia hacked and released information?  We all know both governments do a whole lot more than just hacking emails.  Does anybody believe the U.S. is innocent?  If Hillary doesn't want her emails released, than don't write them!  Does anybody really believe what they send on the internet is secret and nobody can find it?  Really?
