It's fine weather for celebrating this January 20, 2017 here on the Suncoast today! 66 degrees at 6AM  going to 76 for a high, the air conditioner hasn't had to turn on  for hours now. Yep, this must be deep into winter.

We are going to display our brand new United States flag, from the front porch to begin celebrating this fine day.

May God Bless and protect America.

It got up to 77 in Pittsburgh last week, then snowed the next day. The forsythia in my backyard were fooled into blooming way early during the warm spell.IMG_7132.JPG

It will be March 1 tomorrow and we still have snow.  True it is down to a couple of patches about 6" deep in the back yard, but even after a couple of weeks with temps in the 40s, some wind and some sun, we still have snow!  Since Dec. 9 we have had snow.  True, it is still snowing in Spokane and I should feel most fortunate.  But the grass lies flat and is a strange deathly color--pale horse color.  Very little green, which are the weeds, and a little tan.  :o

Shel, love your forsythia.  Ours gets cut back to a couple of feet each year or it scrapes on my bedroom window when the wind blows.  But I love the free form rather than having it shaped.  And your grass is mostly green!!!

Really, similar to Darwin?! I've been there, and I found it too hard to handle - so hot!

Queensland is bat state also!!
