Yep, this must be deep into winter. We are going to display our brand new United States flag, from the front porch to begin celebrating this fine day. May God Bless and protect America. True it is down to a couple of patches about 6" deep in the back yard, but even after a couple of weeks with temps in the 40s, some wind and some sun, we still have snow! Since Dec. 9 we have had snow. True, it is still snowing in Spokane and I should feel most fortunate. But the grass lies flat and is a strange deathly color--pale horse color. Very little green, which are the weeds, and a little tan. Shel, love your forsythia. Ours gets cut back to a couple of feet each year or it scrapes on my bedroom window when the wind blows.
