Not even close. Which they admitted to in the article, labeling it as such is just fear mongering at its finest. Second, being shipped I'm sure it was empty and properly packaged, so short of dropping it on ones toe, it's completely harmless. Third, the guy drove around with it how long? .50 caliber Barrett sniper rifles are not light by any stretch of the imagination. I have no idea what kind of "toy" this guy ordered where he didn't notice the weight difference. Second, firearms need to be shipped to a ffl dealer.
