Zachary is correct in that obedience equals belief.  We obey because we believe.  The works do not save us for salvation is of Grace but they are the evidence of our faith for faith without works is dead being alone.

That said, whether there is enough evidence to convict you of being one of the faithful is for Jesus alone to decide for the Lord knows them that are his.

This topic is not black and white though many want it to be.  It is actually the once saved always saved debate.  Backsliders who love their sin but want to feel secure hold fast with a death grip to it along with those who have truly tried to have victory over sin but repeatedly fail.  The weaker the person is in the faith the more apt they are to vehemently defend the position.

I believe that in Adam ALL die and so in Jesus ALL shall be resurrected.  Some unto the resurrection of the just and others unto condemnation.  Evidence suggest that this has been known for a long time as even the prophets of old sought to gain a better resurrection.  Some were even sawn as sunder.

Do you want to test your faith?

Jesus did not wander around selfishly wondering whether God would save him or not as he believed and thus did the works his father sent him to do.  He cried unto the one who was able to save him from death and was heard in that he feared.  He spent his life after his election ministering to others for he understood that this life was vanity.  He would have to lay it down in order to raise us all up.

While his was the only one with perfect obedience he also exhibited the greatest faith and had the greatest reward which is King of Kings and Lord of Lords.  The rest of us are running our race seeking position in the eternal Kingdom of our Lord that will be here upon the earth that was made to be inhabited.

What level of obedience is necessary to be allowed into said Kingdom?  Christ must have known you.  His spirit must have come in unto you and bound together with you as a husband to a wife who are no longer two but one.  You must not be a Hebrews 6 apostate who possessed all the things listed but fell away for the scripture says that you cannot be turned to repentance again as you have already crucified the Lord unto yourself once and cannot do it again. For you it is the fearful looking unto judgment that will devour the adversaries.

Christ knows them that are his.  A persons resurrection is sure.  A persons salvation from eternal condemnation is in the hands of the judge to decide.  According to the scriptures we are to fear as did Christ himself when he was hear.  Fear of God and eternal judgment is healthy.  Blind faith that you will be delivered into the eternal Kingdom and have eternal life without evidence of your faith being true saving faith is foolishness.

Jesus name means the self existent one is salvation.  Only the I AM THAT I AM can save you.  He will not save you without your cooperation.  Even Jesus had to pray unto him who could save him from death and was only heard in that he feared.  Are we better than Christ?  Do we not need to fear in order to be heard?  Yes! For this is what Paul meant when he said work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.

In the end you DO what you BELIEVE and suffer the fate of your faith.

Believe you can continue in sin and be saved?  You will continue in sin and receive the end of that faith.

Believe you must walk in faith, mortifying the deeds of the flesh?  You will seek to do so and receive the end of your faith.

Jesus always told them "your faith has saved you."  The question to each of us is "Do I have faith that can save me?".  True faith works.

Check your sins ... keep repenting of them!

It's impossible not too since God's seed never leaves us.

1 John 3:6 No one who lives in him keeps on sinning. No one who continues to sin has either seen him or known him.

1 John 3:9 No one who is born of God will continue to sin, because God's seed remains in them; they cannot go on sinning, because they have been born of God.

1 John 5:18 We know that anyone born of God does not continue to sin; the One who was born of God keeps them safe, and the evil one cannot harm them.

NO ONE gets raptured who is living in unrepented-of sin!
