Mein Kampf becomes bestseller in Germany.

Quote

The autobiography of Adolf Hitler published in 1926 reached "bestseller" status in Germany during the 2016 calendar year.  After initially planning 4,000 copies, "Mein Kampf" is heading for its sixth print run, its publisher said Tuesday.

The Institute of Contemporary History of Munich reports that 85,000 copies of the new annotated version of the Nazi leader's novel had been sold since last January.

"It turned out that the fear the publication would promote Hitler's ideology or even make it socially acceptable and give neo-Nazis a new propaganda platform was totally unfounded," director Andreas Wirsching said in a statement.

"To the contrary, the debate about Hitler's worldview and his approach to propaganda offered a chance to look at the causes and consequences of totalitarian ideologies, at a time in which authoritarian political views and rightwing slogans are gaining ground."

"Mein Kampf" highlights Hitler's ideology and political views for the future of Germany.

that's kind of disturbing.....    that book is so dangerous because it shows why Hitler was the way he was and it can instill that same personality in those reading it and accepting it.....   we have enough anti-Semitic thoughts in the world to be publishing more.    You can bet that the Protocols will follow.

Germany has a somewhat split personality.  On one hand it is a crime to deny The Holocaust, on the other Mein Kampf is a bestseller.  I suspect the influx of Syrian refugees could swing their politics the wrong way.  I hope and pray I'm wrong.

Maybe people are reading it to see why Hitler went the way he did.     Maybe they will not follow.....   I've studied the book in the past to get some idea of why he went the route he did and I didn't go down that road......   likewise I've studied the Islamic so called holy books and didn't go down that rabbit hole either.....    but if I had bought into them being true I'd probably be   your worst nightmare.

It was recently published again after a long ban. I thought it was also a sanitized version of it. Perhaps that is why it is being bought so much.

If one delves into the depths of Nazism, you'll find a solid connection to the occult.  It wasn't just Hitler, but all those around him too.  It was a movement of pure evil with no redeeming qualities.
