Allegations are not evidence

21 posts in this topic

The public has been reminded once again (through several current news items) that allegations and accusations are not evidence. This is an important principle of justice under Common Law. Therefore, in any trial, the accused are deemed to be innocent until PROVEN guilty.

What the current outgoing administration of the USA has been trying to do is overthrow this fundamental principle of justice for its own selfish reasons.  Because there is zero evidence of "Russian hacking", the intelligence agencies have packaged and re-packaged allegations to somehow fool the public into believing their false narrative.

When we bring this over to the spiritual realm, we see that the Lord Jesus Christ and His apostles were accused over and over again of various sins and violations of the Law of Moses.  All the accusations were false, but they were accepted as "evidence" by many.  At the bogus trial of Christ, many false witnesses were brought forth, and none of their testimonies proved anything.  But that did not matter to the Jewish religious leaders. They were bound and determined to crucify Christ and they succeeded in their objective.

Today Christians and right-thinking non-Christians are accused of bigotry, hatred, homophobia, islamophobia, xenophobia, etc. without a shred of evidence. So a narrative is built up without any substance, and eventually accepted as the truth.

On the other hand, hard evidence has come to light through Wikileaks regarding the evil deeds of many in public office.  But all that has been swept under the rug, since the consequences would be extremely serious for the perpetrators.

What we can learn from all this is that the battle between Light and Darkness has intensified, and will continue to become more intense.  Christians are the most persecuted religious community in the world (according to a recent survey) and we can expect more persecution through allegations without evidence.

But this also means that Christians must be extremely careful with their accusations, and unless there is solid evidence about any matter, we must reserve judgment. As the Lord has already said "Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment." (John 7:24).

What really bugs me about this is the misleading presentations by popular media.

They are actually saying the Russians hacked the DNC but the media are presenting it as "hacking the election". Their word not mine. I think they are trying to sell the idea that the actual election results have been hacked but they can't actually say that or they will be found out as liars.

Dream on.   Ever since Y'SHUA MESSIAH the PERFECT ONE was convicted and executed,  HIS children have faced similar martyrdom ever since, yes even in the united states....   (blameless ones, not only innocent ones, but did not harm to anyone)

None of this is anything new.   It's been going on for at least a century in the USA.  The whole system is extremely corrupt, and has been for generations...

It really bothers me when I hear stuff like this.  Guilty until proven innocent didn't begin with the current admin.  America's history is filled with you are guilty unless you can prove it especially when it comes to the minority population here.  Its this type of rhetoric especially from those that proclaim to be saints that is dishonest, heartbreaking and down right shameful.  Please stop.

That's the only reason this hacking incident matters.   If this had happened in a non election year, we probably would have heard little about it.   Or, had Hillary been the winner any claim that the Russians helped her win, would be regarded as "fake news."   It would be summarily brushed aside without any serious consideration.

The US government gets hacked regularly.  We probably don't know the half of it.  But no one cared about this issue until Trump won.   It's all about delegitimzing Trump's election.   If the Dems could find a way to use this hacking incident to invalidate Trump's election, and flip it over to Hillary, they would.  That's really what is behind their selective moral outrage over hacking.

  • and today even more news drawn from rumour, another chapter in the tale

someone employed a former MI6 agent to look into the incident but all he presents are comms about rumours.

Somehow they derive "facts" from that

If you are speaking of the weird sex things, that was a fairy tale that anonymous had posted in fun on their website...   someone sent it to the retired mi6 guy and he took it at something true.  It's really kind of ironic how easily our intelligence peopled can be trolled.   Then have someone in the intelligence organizations leak it to the public.

What OO is saying is it was a totally BOGUS prank which took on legitimacy merely because it is directed at Trump.
