(Worthy News) - A deadly shootout at the construction site of the new American Consulate occurred this week in a Mexican border town where Islamic terrorists and drug cartels plan to launch attacks against the U.S. during the period surrounding the presidential inauguration, high-level government sources tell Judicial Watch. An unknown number of gunmen fired multiple rounds adjacent to the new U.S. Consulate compound in Nuevo Laredo, Mexico, a crime-infested city in the state of Tamaulipas that lies directly across from Laredo, Texas.

The Mexican military responded to the attack, law enforcement sources on both sides of the border confirm insisting that their identities be kept confidential for security reasons, and at least three soldiers were either killed or critically wounded in the ambush. A local newspaper in Tamaulipas reported that 13 people died during a shootout in Nuevo Laredo, referring to the deceased as heavily armed “delinquents” with an arsenal that includes 12 automatic weapons, a rocket launcher, grenade, loads of ammunition and drugs in three vehicles, one of them armored. The deceased have not been identified and Mexican authorities will continue to investigate, the article states, attributing the information to a press release issued by Mexico’s Defense Secretary.

Judicial Watch’s law enforcement and intelligence sources say the barrage outside what’s soon to be the new U.S. Consulate is connected to a broad operation between Islamic terrorists and Mexican drug cartels to send President-elect Donald Trump a message by engaging in attacks at border ports. “Cartels usually don’t work with jihadists for fear of having the border shut down,” a veteran federal law enforcement official told Judicial Watch. “But Trump is causing so much disruption in Mexico that they are partnering to send a message as to who is in control. This is as outrageous as a small group of guys crashing planes into U.S. buildings.” Another official who has worked in the region for years said “Trump is causing a huge amount of fear in Mexico throughout all sectors; private, government, business, criminal, police….” [ Source ]

Mexico had years to correct the problem from their side and have not.  Hopefully, Trump will stop this before it does enter the US in strength.

I would like to see some actual evidence linking the cartels to the terrorist.   This article is nothing but innuendo and speculation. The very thing that people attack the MSM for.

Understood.

But while it isn't CNN, FOX, or the Washington Post (ha ha) and Judicial Watch is probably considered 'right wing', I've never heard of an instance where it's been proven wrong.

There's always a first time, I suppose . . .

Fox Business News did carry this in an interview with the president of Judicial Watch.  Listen to the 5 minute video.

I don't see any reason to question the veracity - in fact, it would be surprising if this alliance DID NOT exist.

I doubt that it's a recent development though - it's probably been going on for quite a while.

Blessings,

I don't doubt there are cartel members and Muslim terrorist cells already in America just waiting for the order to strike. Cartel activities threaten Mexico as does Muslim terrorism. I don't see why we don't strike where we know these threats are and send a message that we're not to be messed with. Unless that could activate the cells that are already here in America to act in retaliation.

We've had a terrorist enabler in office for 8 years. It is going to take quite awhile to reverse what he's set into motion. If reversal is even possible.

That he's getting a house near D.C when he supposedly leaves office is suspect in itself. Every president I've heard about that was outgoing has left D.C in their rear view. And for good reason. But this one wants to stay close. I wonder why , really.

I think you're always going to find those that regularly deny anything as valid in matters of threat assessment when that pertains to safety and national security for America. No proof is acceptable because no proof is really sought.

Dismissing that element, the rest of America can concern themselves with the very real threat that has America in its sights.

To preface the article to follow, this "About Us" page should suffice to show those sincerely interested in the safety of America that the source is credible. And  has been for a number of years.

Further, we may wish to recall that last year Mexico was in the news. They're planning the construction of a wall on their southern border so as to keep their country secure. That's pretty funny when you think about it. The left in this nation condemn Trump for wanting to stabilize the ineffective wall that already exists on America's southern border, calling the planned project xenophobic, and all manner of condemning names. And meanwhile, Mexico makes news planning to build their own wall to their south and for the same reasons America wants to construct one.

About Us

For twenty-five years, the Center for Security Policy has pioneered the organization, management and direction of public policy coalitions to promote U.S. national security. Even more importantly, the Center’s mission has been to secure the adoption of the products of such efforts by skillfully enlisting support from executive branch officials, key legislators, other public policy organizations, opinion-shapers in the media and the public at large.

The philosophy of “Peace through Strength” is not a slogan for military might but a belief that America’s national power must be preserved and properly used for it holds a unique global role in maintaining peace and stability.

The process the Center has repeatedly demonstrated is the unique ability that makes the Center the “Special Forces in the War of Ideas”: forging teams to get things done that would otherwise be impossible for a small and relatively low-budget organization. In this way, we are able to offer maximum “bang for the buck” for the donors who make our work possible. This approach has enabled the Center to have an outsized impact.

Just now, Yowm said:

Of course it will activate terrorist cells but that shouldn't stop us, otherwise we will reach a point where the cartels are running the show.

I agree. I look forward to Trump's presidency. A man that is pro-America will be a refreshing change.

Why wasn't this story on every front page, and the leading story on every TV news network? --- For this is truly scary, especially as the border between the U.S. and Mexico is so permeable. Also, the fact that Jade Helm took place in some states bordering Mexico could point to a U.S.-government fear that an Islamic militant group could cross the border undetected and attack a major city nearby such as Phoenix or San Antonio. The U.S. border with Mexico is so long and unguarded that it would be possible for this to happen, just as it has been possible for millions of immigrants to illegally cross the border. Also, Mexico is a perfect staging ground for a major terrorist attack against the U.S., because Mexican security forces and politicians so easily take bribes to look the other way. That is why there are so many powerful drug cartels in Mexico, which can even take over whole towns with impunity, and why Mexican drug kingpins can repeatedly "escape" even maximum-security prisons there. --- Someone might ask: "But if the border is so permeable, why has not any terrorist attack been committed so far by terrorists crossing the border?" --- The answer could be, simply because the U.S. so far has been lucky. --- In order for the U.S. to continually monitor the entire border, it may need to employ many surveillance planes, and/or drones, flying in horizontal loops all along the border, just as, for example, they are constantly flying in horizontal loops off the coast of San Diego, looking for any seaborne infiltrations (such as of drug smugglers) originating from Mexico. --- But a continuing problem is detecting long, smuggling tunnels that stretch underneath the border. --- A real nightmare would be if Islamic terrorists paid a Mexican drug cartel to use its smuggling tunnels to infiltrate large numbers of jihadists, weapons, and explosives into the U.S. So the U.S. needs to use ground-penetrating radar to immediately locate all of the tunnels which now cross the border, and to continually scan the entire border to immediately locate any new tunnels which will be dug in the future.
