US President Donald Trump has invited Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to meet him at the White House in February.

A date will be set in coming days, according to a statement from the Israeli leader's office, which also described a telephone conversation they had on Sunday as "very warm".

The men discussed ways to promote peace and security in the Middle East as well as the nuclear deal with Iran and the Middle East peace process, the statement said.

This is great!  Trump has shown so far he is able to listen, and I believe Ben is a great speaker, I am encouraged to hear they want to meet so soon!

Amen. And may the U.S. embassy in Israel be moved as soon as possible to Jerusalem, the true capital of the Jews. - And may the whole idea of an "East Jerusalem" be expunged from U.S. and world thinking. For there is no such thing. There is only Jerusalem, which God gave in its entirety to the Jews, just as he gave all the rest of the land of Israel to the Jews. - Also, the Palestinians are simply Arabs, not their own race which needs their own nation-state. They can live on any Arab land within the truly gigantic Arab territory stretching from Oman to Morocco. - Why cannot the Jews have even a small nation to call their own? Why must they be restricted in any way from settling in the Jews' own holy land of Samaria and Judaea? - Let not the world try to restrict the Jews into smaller and smaller "ghettoes", as it tried to do for millennia. Let the Jews be free, for God's sake. - Anything less would be anti-Semitism.

Actually they can't live anywhere they want.    Jordan would not let them into their country and neither would the Saudi's or Syria.

They're not.   Britain's Prime Minister is coming to the US this week to meet with the president.

Do have a problem with the president meeting with Israel?

Of course not, but he seems to making it a priority.    AM glad the leader of GB is invited next week, and others should follow, as 8 years of Bush, and 8 years of Obama have undermined total global confidence in the USA.

A better relationship with Israel is part of his campaign promises, so I think that is why it is priority.    Yes, I am glad we have a president will command global respect unlike our previous president.

Agreed. Obama was no friend of Israel so this is going to be a refreshing change for both countries and their leaders. A president that actually respects Israel. What a blessing after 8 years of not that.
