Guest shiloh357
What will have to happen, unfortunately, is we are going to have to get hit with a terrorist attack by a group or person from one of the 7 Muslim countries on the list before Trump will be able to convince anyone of the need for the travel restriction. The argument made against it is that we have not been attacked by anyone in those countries. But the purpose of travel restriction is to prevent that from happening. The same people who are against the travel restriction will be the same people who will blame Trump if terrorists make it through and stage an attack. It is the same executive power exercised against Muslim countries all of the same countries that Obama and Carter used, but it's only wrong and immoral when Trump does the same thing. We can all talk our heads off but most of us have never been in the Middle East and only know what we read or hear in the news.

I am thinking perhaps it might be helpful for there to be a list showing the number of people arrested in the USA for terrorism related crimes.. which shows ALL countries.... {assuming that it is not confidential or something} I am curious whether or not there might be other countries who might also have the same number or even more.. of its citizens {or former citizens} .. arrested by authorities in the USA .. compared to some of the countries on the visa ban list.. ? Sorry just wondering that's all. I hope it is ok to ask. Thanks. ps - edited to make sentences clearer etc. Thanks. Christians should welcome refugees into their homes and churches as a way to show God’s love and share the gospel. Standing before the throne of the Lamb one day will be those “from every nation, tribe, people and language” (Revelation 7:9). 2) Pray for our nation’s leaders. Governing authorities have a divine responsibility to “bring punishment on the wrongdoer” (Romans 13:4) and to ensure “that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness” (1 Timothy 2:2). Pray that our leaders would have the wisdom of a Daniel or a Joseph. 3) Support ministries that assist refugees. Many Christian ministries exist to help refugees in relocation, job training, language skills, and cultural adjustment. 4) Promote government policies that are effective in screening refugees to prevent those with evil intent from entering. We must show compassion to those in need; at the same time, we must show compassion to our fellow citizens and not place them at undue risk. 5) Pray for the refugees, their families, and their troubled homelands. “Be exalted, O God, above the highest heavens! May your glory shine over all the earth” (Psalm 57:5). 6) Research the best ways to help the displaced. From “safe zones” abroad to Christian ministries at home, there are many options that deserve serious consideration. Jesus told us to go into all the world and preach the gospel (Matthew 28:18– 20). With the surge of refugees, the mission field is coming to us, and many of those who come are from nations closed to traditional missions. Wouldn’t it be just like God to turn a bad situation into something good and full of glory? https://www.gotquestions.org/Christian-refugees.html

Look at what these refugees are doing to Germany and Sweden after they welcomed them with open arms. Look at all of the rapes and molestations and the most recent truck attack in Germany just before Christmas. The refugees are not behaving like refugees in Europe. They are behaving like animals and are assaulting their hosts and people want to bring that junk over here to our country! It is really naive on the part of some Christians who think these people are refugees. They are invaders and troublemakers. What we need is an American, not a Christian response to this problem. And that American response is to keep them out of our country, they don't belong here, and we have plenty of our own poor and needy that are not being taken care of. What makes anyone think that we will do any better with 10s of thousands of more people. Add to that, that with this influx of new people comes new diseases. We don't know what these people are carrying into the country.
