I think anyone over 45 or 50 should consider this article.  I know several people out here in the world that complain about 'getting old' even though they are anything but!

Age is all in the mind.  You are only as old as you believe you are. The mind can affect bodily functions tremendously.

Getting old is not going to stop for anyone. There have been billions spent on surgeries, moisturizers and various kind of creams and a ton of hair dye. No one has discovered a fountain of youth yet. So suck it up and grow old gracefully.

I look at my body and say, 'yeah, you're decaying and wasting away', but knowing my mind is being renewed day by day...until that Day when we receive a new body.

2 Corinthians 4:16-18 KJVS
[16] For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day. [17] For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory; [18] While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.

I can't honestly say I'm fearless to leave this flesh & blood body. But it's going to be more than awesome to put on incorruption for all of eternity and be with the Lord forever.

Not to hijack this thread, but while on subject... Question: Is it just me, or do most Christians still have some fear of death? In my experience, the older I get the more I think about it. I'm no longer terrified about death because of my faith in the One who is going to resurrect me, but I can't shake the inevitable, man is appointed once to die....

Why would any Christian fear death? For Christians it is a transition from a world that is corrupt to a region that is pure and perfect. See John 11:25,26.

It's like it being born the first time, we don't remember it. I think dying is going to be hard because being born is hard, no matter how we die but that first second into the new life.  .. .I am excited about it!?

Ezra,.

born again believers we have nothing to fear!

i was going to have knee surgery in 2001, a lesbian co-worker said aren't you afraid? I said afraid of what? She said, dying! I said well, if I die I go to heaven and if I don't, I live to see another great day!  There's nothing to fear.

She just looked at me incredulously and walked away.

My husband loves being bald. He just shaves it all off - doesn't even need to worry about shampoo
