(Worthy News) - Since 9/11, 72 individuals from the seven mostly Muslim countries covered by President Trump's "extreme vetting" executive order have been convicted of terrorism, bolstering the administration's immigration ban.

According to a report out Saturday, at least 17 claimed to be refugees from those nations, three came in as "students," and 25 eventually became U.S. citizens.

The Center's director of policy studies, Jessica M. Vaughan, based her blockbuster report on a 2016 report from the Senate Judiciary Committee's Subcommittee on Immigration and the National Interest, then chaired by new Attorney General Jeff Sessions, that report found that 380 out of 580 people convicted in terror cases since 9/11 were foreign-born. So, 72 of the 380 arrest of foreign born people were from the list of 7 banned countries.  Where did the other 308 come from and why are we not banning people from those countries as well?

It would be interesting to know where the others came from. Maybe we might not want to just look at Obama's pick for what's dangerous.

As I remember the twin towers guys were Saudis. I do hope the President is looking into those also.

As I recall they were not all from Saudi Arabia. Catching terrorists before they can strike no matter where they hail from is always good news.

15 of the 19 were and that's close enough for me.

The ban is on countries that have weak, or no, central governments that can provide documentation on their citizens.  It's not about the countries per se, it's about the LACK of birth certificates, passports, driver's licenses, etc.

The Saudis are despicable in my book but they actually have a strong functioning government and they DO have procedures in place to provide documentation for their citizens.

I'm not saying none were Saudi. I'm saying not all were and those other countries of origin are a concern just as much as is SA.
