Jeremiah 9King James Version (KJV) 24 But let him that glorieth glory in this, that he understandeth and knoweth me, that I am the Lord which exercise lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness, in the earth: for in these things I delight, saith the Lord. Boasting about one's own works and achievements I'm talking about.(that's a no no). Declaring of God's goodness and what He has done in your life? Of course! The spotlight shouldn't be on your own efforts. Even Your own efforts have been assisted by God. So it's never about you. I thought that was a no no. I cursory glance of the usage of the word "boast" in the Bible, does not seem to indicate that in and of itself, is wrong. See: http://biblehub.net/search.php?q=i+will+boast Again, as I said in my first post in this topic about letting our works be known, a lot falls to motive. What is one's purpose? Self glorification? God looks upon the heart. If we try to see things through God's eyes, a lot of our choices will be right.

My wife, and maybe my pastor if it is through the church. I never give as a tax write off and do not report anything I give to the church on my taxes. Boasting brings with it pride and others that is self fulfilling and swells the ego of the man, while humility demonstrates a willingness to share and participate. Did i say this right, correct me if it sounds out of place. Nothing to say really, so i am posting something.
