Anyways, my point was that the New York Times is generally a reputable publication, though I agree it leans to the left. That's not the same thing as leftist propaganda or promoting conspiracy theories. Being an Islamic mouthpiece and being leftist don't have to be mutually exclusive things. The soviet union spent a lot of resources attempting to infiltrate communists into western bureaucracies with those people claiming they weren't communists.
