Count me out for a free flu shot, been there, done that, still got sick.

Thirty years of no flu shots and I've been down a handful of times, yes like a week, and felt like a truck ran me over.  I'll take my chances cuz no one knows what they are putting in those shots.

With contact lenses some solutions have timerosol in it. I could not use that solution.   Why? Timerosol is another word for mercury!

I worked with five eye specialists and learned much about products reps try to sell to Drs..

I've been taking the shots for 50 years and so far it's working......  and I spent nearly 40 years in and out of hundreds of offices working for Xerox and I don't remember ever having the flu.... other problems from smoking, but not the flu.

I have been getting the flu shot for a long time and have not gotten the flu. The flu is a virus so antibiotics do not work on it which makes it even more dangerous.

I'm not advocating to not take a flu shot, just so you didn't misunderstand my post.

But you have concerns which many others do. That is why there has been so many deaths so far.

For anyone over 50 this is turning out to be an especially bad flu season.  Good reasons to get the flu shot!

That should say good reasons to AVOID the flu shot.  Those who get it also get the flu, whereas those who avoid it live healthy.

Guest BacKaran

I worked in hospitals and ran into a Jr high friend in 1981. She was in x-ray and I said oh, I work there, what are you doing? She said she is one of several hundred adults who are in a lifetime program to track them as they received the free swine flu shot of 1976 and had life long side effects. She was one of those people.

She said her complications come on suddenly and she would have giant hive reactions all over her body. She said she had to go to the ER during her wedding ceremony because the hives came on suddenly and she had a hard time breathing... Anaphylaxis? Don't know...

That is why I decided that was the last free shot I got in 1976 from the college I was attending.

Then the mercury in contact lens solutions, buyer be very aware!

Essential oils, natural foods, honey and other homeopathic remedies do work better than some shots and medicines.

That's what's worked for me.

Like anything, there are people who have allergic reactions to anything.   I had a distant cousin that died from a reaction to penicillin.  That doesn't mean everyone else should not use penicillin.
