Quote

But his plans have been upended after US officials reported finding "derogatory information" against him.

The Department of Homeland Security has declined to comment.

Derogatory information is a broad category that can include everything from terror connections to passport irregularities.

Okay, couple of things . . .

1.  We would have never heard about this if he had just been a standard 'run-of-the-mill' Syrian national and not one nominated for an Oscar. Should there be exceptions to the law then if one is famous or not?

2.  The only entity that could shed some light - Homeland Security - has declined to comment.  So wild theories will abound.

3.  What kind of derogatory information?  T uncrossed or I undotted?  Or is he head of an ISIS terrorist cell?

One thing is for sure - - this pretty much guarantees his documentary will win the Oscar.  And Meryl Streep will probably have something profound to say about it.

Blessings,

-Ed

White Helmets won the Oscar for best documentary short film.
We don't know what turned up on the cinematographer that was banned from entering the U.S. to attend the Oscar's. Homeland Security would know more than those who opine in a politically charged arena like Leftist Hollywood's outrage over this barring of entry.

Years ago Cat Stevens, now a radical Muslim and known as Yusuf Islam, was barred from entering the U.S..  I saw him when he was asked about the fiction writer Salman Rushdie. Rushdie had a Fatwa still on his head for having authored the fictional book, "Satanic Verses". The Ayatollah of Iran had issued the death warrant and it was still active with Stevens was being interviewed on TV in the UK.

The host asked him if he were to see Rushdie in the streets there would he as a Muslim carry out the Fatwa? Stevens said yes.

He should never be allowed into this country after that. Of course in retrospect he tried to side step his first remarks and deny he meant that but he did indeed mean it.

People in America are being brainwashed by agenda driven media types who intend to delude the average viewer with false reporting about Islam.  Islam isn't what commits terror attacks. Those willing to give their lives for Islam are what commit terror attacks. Because Islam teaches them that the only sure way to paradise is to die a martyr in Jihad.

Ever understand his lyric of Moon Shadow?  Very Islamic, in my honest opinion.

Stevens said at the time he wrote it that it wasn't Islamic. It was his personal experience seeing the moon on a dark night without light pollution obscuring it in east London.

Many think Islam's Allah, which is Arabic for God, is a moon deity but he's not.

Let's not soft pedal Ms. Streep; she will most likely have a complete TDS meltdown and go into seizures.

Correct; 'Allah', with a capital 'A', is satan.

Wasn't that something to see? A lifetime achievement award and what's she remembered for in the acceptance speech?

Did she win the Oscar last night? If so did she do the same speech part 2?
