Voter advocates fear that these claims will be used to justify more restrictions on voters." More baloney from the Washington Post. (1) There is plenty of evidence that at least 2-3 million voters voted illegally, which is essentially voter fraud. Trump has ordered a thorough investigation. (2) "restriction on voters" is a pejorative term for insisting that only those who are citizens with proper ID should vote in any election. Elections in all countries exclude non-citizens, and require some form of ID. For those who may not know, the CIA has contracted for hundreds of millions of dollars with the Washington Post to spread disinformation, and is another one of those fake news media. Even the title of this article is prejudicial, since it is trying to imply that the Justice Department is not following the law, when in fact it is. I just wanted the article to talk about the Texas voter I'd case. Maybe I should change the link

Especially given the influx of illegals and now refugees into this country who have no right to vote under our Constitution. One has to show ID in order to register to vote. It makes common sense they should have to show picture ID when they're at the polling place ready to cast that vote.

As stated in the article: voters present certain forms of identification, such as a driver’s license, a military ID, a passport or a weapons permit, in order to cast their ballots. In my home state you have to present a photo ID and proof of residency in order to register. Utility bill, something of that nature. Then to cast your vote you have to show a drivers license or photo ID. It's been that way for over 40 years that I know of.

Unfortunately, 'making sense' is not always at the core of the issue in politics. That's how we've gotten to the point where if one thinks there should be laws and restrictions regarding immigration, then that person must 'hate' immigrants and be a bigot. Likewise, if one thinks the same documentation that is required for one to buy beer and cigarettes in most convenience stores should be required to register and cast a vote, then that person must must be a racist. Honestly - sometimes it seems like the country is at a level of discourse that would not even be tolerated in the 3rd grade.
