"A labyrinth will also be set up in the rotunda surrounding the scroll to 'help guide students to their dreams,'" Amposta told the school paper. “The maze is sort of a metaphor for the general path to diversity,” she explained. “It takes a while to reach, and it’s complicated.” The pinned dreams will eventually be the topic of discussion during a women’s panel "held by the art and women, gender and sexuality studies departments" on March 31. The rotunda where this is being held has a standing room capacity of 150 people. There is also going to be a maze built around the scroll so that will take up some of the room. They are going to have 4 "nap sessions" during the month long event. Let's say that the maze takes up no room and everyone sleeps standing up and that nobody comes to more than one session. So, 4 times 150 equals 600 people. The total enrollment at SIUC is 17,292. So, that means that 3.4% of the student body could take advantage of the nap ins. So, it seems my guess was a bit high after all since even the perfect scenario only drags in 3.5%, not the 5% that I estimated. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
