I am bold, I'll ask of someone is saved, it gives me an idea of who they are.

Or at least who they THINK they are...

Ask a JW or a Mormon...

My answer is I believe in the Biblical Jesus. That he is the Creator God incarnate who died in his flesh for the sins of man and rose the third day. All according to scripture which I doubled checked by the Bible.

And there are many scriptures to authenticate this Jesus (distinguish him from other Jesus') and to assure us this is the only way to be saved.

I stand ready to share these verses

and to field as many "what if" questions as time permits.

Been over them many times.

I'm old.

I don't see the significance of your post. They don't appear to be the same act to me.  Thanks for the offering to ponder.

There are multitudes declaring "JESUS IS LORD", by their words openly  ,

but contrary to what was in the previous post,

they are not children of YHWH(GOD),  not moved by the SPIRIT of GOD, and

they are not SAVED,   and they are told that on judgment day BY JESUS THE JUDGE,

if they do not repent before they die.

is it okay to ask this question coming from a Biblical standpoint?  'Are you saved'?

What backings can you give from Scripture?

It would depend on why the question is being asked.  If you are witnessing to someone it is important to know where they stand on in relation to the Lord.

If you are having a political discussion and the other person does not share you political view, it is not an appropriate question.

Mat 1:20  But while he thought about these things, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, "Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take to you Mary your wife, for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit.  Mat 1:21  And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name JESUS, for He will save His people from their sins."

 The name Jesus means savior.

So it is very appropriate.  Different denominations do not necessarily state it the same way.  So sometimes I ask "Do your believe that Jesus Christ died for your sins?  Do you accept His authority over you?  (Lordship),  Anymore I would also ask "Do you believe what the New Testament says about Jesus, God the Father, the Holy Spirit and salvation?"  I have encountered people who claim to be saved or to have accepted Jesus as their Savior, but who renounce the Bible.  Nor can they say "Jesus is Lord".
