More truth in advertising...
Concerning Phil 3:20 - For our citizenship is in heaven...

Citizenship is not a possession which can be stored.  It refers to where you belong, the rights, duties, and privileges thereof as a member there as a citizen with obligations and functions.  We are to be members of Heaven being citizen there.  We will be Priests.

Truth in advertising...
“…because of the hope laid up for you in heaven, of which you previously heard in the word of truth,” (Col. 1:5)

3/ Our hope of eternal life is Written in the Book of Life, kept in heaven.

Negative, it is not our eternal life which is written in the Book of Life, but our names.

Ex 32:32-33 ; Ps 69:28.  You cannot "blot" life out with ink, but what is written: their name.  It is also an account of our days: Ps 139:16
...everyone who is found written in the book, will be rescued. - Dan 12:1.  They are not in the book, their names are!  And those so written shall be saved!

Think I need make this up like you do?  Think again:
...whose names are in the book of life. ~ Phl 4:3  It is not eternal life which is written in the Book of Life, but those saved peoples' names.

Again:
...everyone whose name has not been written from the foundation of the world in the book of life of the Lamb who has been slain. ~ Rev 13:8

Our deeds are written there:
...the things which were written in the books, according to their deeds. ~ Rev 20:12

And the most important thing is having your name written in the Book of Life:
And if anyone's name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire. ~ Rev 20:15

Will you ever be able to be sharpened and correct your errors?
I have no expectation that you will change your stripes, but I hope so, for your sake.

So if Christians have our citizenship in heaven, how come we are still on earth?

Obviously Paul is referring to a spiritual citizenship, proved by Revelation 5:9-10.....they shall reign on earth.

This is pedantic nonsense. If our names are written in the Book of Life, then we are qualified to receive Eternal life.

I do pray for and expect that you and the millions of other Christians who have fallen for Satan's deceits, will change your views; when the truth of what God has planned for His people does happen. It's unfortunate that they won't/can't see the truth before they are taken by surprise, but having chosen to believe things not Written in the Bible, God has blinded them so the great testing time to come will winnow out those with little faith.

1. If there is no such thing, then why does Paul teach it and tell us in 1Th 4:18 to encourage one another with this news?

2. Oops!  You said: "clearly"!  So!  Since it's so clear ~ perhaps you can quote the verse which clearly states we change WITH THE 7th Trumpet of God's Wrath.

(Yeah, I know you're going to quote me the "last trumpet" Paul mentions - so smart guy: where does God say that the 7th Trumpet, a numbered trumpet announcing God's Wrath blown by an Angel is the same as the named trumpet assembling God's people blown by Jesus?)  If it's so clear ~ you won't have any problem with that...

If the 7th isn't the last do tell where's the 8th?

You keep waiting of this false rapture, and see where it get's you.

Ive asked this before with no answer

at what point in time did Christ return become imminent?

  1. Before His ascension, Christ prophesied the coming of the Holy Spirit on Pentecost. Because of this prophecy, Christ could not come until His words had been fulfilled on the day of Pentecost. Thus from His ascension to Pentecost, Christ's return was not imminent. (Lk. 24:49).
  2. Before His ascension, Christ prophesied that Peter would grow old; he would then be captured and finally be martyred for his testimony for Him. Because of this prophecy, Christ could not return as long as Peter was alive. Peter had to grow old, be captured, and finally be martyred to fulfill the words of Christ. All the Christians knew that as long as Peter was alive, Jesus could not come. Peter died around A.D. 67. Thus from the ascension to Peter's death (67 A.D.), Christ's return was not imminent. (John 21: 18-19; 1 Pet. 1:13-15).
  3. Having established that Christ's coming was not imminent until Peter's death (A.D. 67), none of Paul’s or Peter's Epistles can have any references to an imminent return of Christ because all of the epistles were written before A.D. 67 and both men knew the prophecies of Christ, and that His coming was not possible at that time. The epistles of Paul and Peter make no reference to an imminent return of Christ.
  4. Before His ascension, Christ prophesied that His church would be planted in Jerusalem, then Judea, then Samaria, and then to “the ends of the earth.” This prophecy was not fulfilled by the early church and has yet to be fully fulfilled. Until the church has been planted in every tribe, tongue and nation, Christ's coming is not imminent. (Acts 1:8; Matt. 28:19, 20; MK. 16:15; Lk. 24:7f; Rev. 7:9).
  5. Before His ascension, Christ prophesied the total destruction of Herod's temple by foreign armies. The temple was not destroyed until A.D. 70. Thus from His ascension to the destruction of Herod's temple (A.D. 70), Christ's return was not imminent. (Matt. 24:1; Mk. 13:1; Lk. 21:5, 6).
  6. Before His ascension, Christ prophesied certain signs to precede His return. These signs were not present in the early church and are not fully present right now. They are still future. Thus until all these signs are clearly and fully fulfilled, Christ's coming is not imminent. (Matt. 24-, Mk.13, Lk. 21).
  7. After His ascension, Christ prophesied that the apostle Paul would go to Rome and preach His gospel. Until Paul got to Rome, Christ could not come. Thus from His ascension to the time when Paul got to Rome (A.D. 61), Christ's return was not imminent. (Acts 23:11; 27:24). None of Paul’s epistles written before he got to Rome could possibly teach that Christ's return was imminent.-
  8. After His ascension, Christ prophesied that the church at Smyrna would pass through a great persecution in the future. He challenged them to suffer faithfully. Until the Smyrna church had been through this trial, Christ could not come. Thus from His ascension to the trial of the church at Smyrna, Christ's coming was not imminent. (Rev. 2:10).
  9. Christ in various parables connected His church and His coming with the end of the age. Until all the Biblical Prophecies leading up to the end of the age, and the prophecies concerning the end of the age have been fulfilled, Christ cannot come. Thus Christ's return cannot be imminent. (Matt. 13:24-30, 36-43, 47-50; 25:14-30)

I agree with your well presented points proving Christ's Return is not now and was not in the past; imminent.

Paul tells us plainly in 2 Thess 2:1-4 that much must happen before the glorious Day.

But what IS imminent, is the terrible Day of the Lord's vengeance and wrath, the event that will set the scene for a One World Govt and the going to and living in all of the holy Land, by every true Christian.  Isaiah 66:18b-21, Revelation 7:9, Romans 9:24-26       That Day is the one which will come unexpectedly, like a thief, in sudden destruction; 1 Thess 5:2

The tribulation will last for 2520 days .... then the Lord will bring Armageddon in the next 30 days against the Muslims .... and then He will gather the residue of Israel and the Gentiles and separate them

Those found believing will enter and populate His millennial kingdom upon the earth as mortals, and those in unbelief will be sent to their termination

Some people don't get it.  Paul said, "For me, to live is Christ and to die gain."

Duh, and why you don't want it blotted out.  Some people don't get it.

Different Trumpets.

The only numbered trumpets are the ones announcing God's Wrath.

You still haven't offered an explanation of how a Trumpet blown by God for one purpose is the same as a Trumpet blown by an Angel blown for another purpose.

Let me see now, Paul said to encourage one another with the news that we would be gathered up, i.e., the Rapture.

Jesus said we, the Elect, would be gathered up in the Olivet Discourse in Matthew.

In Luke, Jesus is recorded as saying about the same time: to look up for our Redemption is drawing nigh.

So you tell me it's false what I read in God's Word.  Such a quandary!  Who should I believe?  You and the blind teacher, or God?

At no time does the Bible say Jesus' Return is imminent.

Jesus said His Return would happen; He also said no one, not even He, knew the Day it would come.

Jesus did say that we would know the time is ripe for His Return, and as Paul put forth to the Thessalonians, certain things must happen first.

Those things haven't happened yet.

So your question begs the point because like many a false word-test; it asks for something that isn't there.
